Founded in New York City in 2013, The Night Shift Theatre Company is a Female-Run, Not-For-Profit Theatre Company. Our mission is to create a completely inclusive, accessible, and safe Theatre Community through our friendships, productions, and monthly event--Drunken Shakespeare. The Night Shift Theatre Company firmly believes that Theatre is Truth and Life is the stage. We hope to show everyone that hard work and kindness will get you anywhere in this world.
Drunken Shakespeare, also founded in 2013, is the only free, NYC event of its kind. Hosted at Bar Nine NY, The Night Shift's Drunken Shakespeare is our attempt to make Shakespeare more understandable for those that "don't get it", more accessible for those that haven't had the opportunity to study, and more FUN for those that think it's boring. Drunken Shakespeare is an open-mic style, monthly event for bar-crawlers to Professional Actors and everyone in-between!
